Her Story

Varché Mackell, Founder MasterMind was born and raised in Washington, DC. After attempting to find her place in the Greek World, she realized that the Sorority for her hadn't been founded yet. After being diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder and Depression her outlook changed regarding sorority life. She wanted to created a safe space for women with these diagnosis, knowing most organizations wouldn't understand their daily struggle. She also envisioned an organization that would highlight the diverse African-American culture through participation in community and social service projects.

Through determination and perseverance, this vision evolved into a reality and as a result, the Alpha Chapter of Omega Theta Rho Sorority, Inc was born October 11, 2017, in Washington, DC.
